Busy... busy... busy and did i mention busy? That is basically what we have been going through these past couple of days this week as we come closer to next week which is exam week and then it is the end of the semester and we have to finish this documentary and try to study for exams!! Ahh.. it's been absolutley crazy these past couple of days... everyday we are staying after school till late working on the documentary and adding all the special effects and making it really amazing! Last week was also very crazy because we had to keep going back to Benjamin's house to record a lot of things that we didn't have time to do over the weekend. As i mentioned we have a little less than a week to finish the doc and to prefect it and to make it the best it can be. I hope that by the end of week we will have the documentary done and by next week be able to put it up on here so all of you guys can see it and give us some feed back on what you thought so wish us luck and pray that we can make it really great! Thanks for all the support! :)
Hey guys, so we are now even closer to the end of the semester which means getting closer to being done with our careers class but the good news is even after our class is over we will still be posting blogs and posting videos and pictures so you can see how Benjamin and Dalton are doing. We are very proud that this project is as successful as it is and we can't wait to see how far this project may take us. The weekend was so amazing going to both families houses and seeing how amazing they both are and how supportive they are to both of us. We got such great footage and we can't wait to upload them and get going with the doc. We hope to finish by Christmas break which is just around the corner so of course have been staying after school and getting advice from teachers and students on how to improve the doc and maybe even ideas on what to add to make it more effective. This project is going so much better than any one of us could have hoped but it is one of the proudest things we have done and i can't wait to see how it turns out stay tuned..
We are now coming down to the last couple of weeks of the project and this week is gonna be a HUGE week for the project because we are now starting the documentary which is the main goal of our project! Today we are going around interveiwing some of Benjamin's and Dalton's family friends to get some information of how they like being neighbors and friends with him and share some stories of good times they have had. This weekend we will be traveling to both of Benjamin and Dalton's house to record them having fun doing normal activities they enjoy and talk to their family about how having a child with autism has changed them and made them the people they are today! We are so very excited to start the documentary but we are also very nervous since this is one of the biggest projects we have ever done and we really want it to be best one yet! Stay tuned for more pictures from the weekend and some videos of things we have recorded. We are lastly so happy to announce that we are in the Ionia Sentinel Standard and their is an article about the project in there so we would encourage you all to go check it out!
Hello there again, we are on our 8th week of the Just Like You project and things are in full swing for us this week. We tried to do a video blog but we ran a little short on time but we still have been very busy with the project. This weekend is the No More Sidelines dance held at our school and Jacey will be attending and taking some pictures with some of the kids to get a little bit more pictures on Our Trip page. This week we made a poster board about our project and presented it at parent teacher conferences and I would say it was an overall success and we got to explain to parents in the community about our project and they were very impressed. This upcoming week we will be talking to possibly some teachers and Dalton to put up on the website and maybe even some students in Links which is a program here at our school which helps out special needs kids in the school. Thanks so much for the support and please continue to read/watch our blogs and upcoming posts!
We are now going into our 6 week of our "Just Like You" project and things as usual are busy for us. This week our main focus was to get interviews with Benjamin and Dalton done and to get some pictures of them and things they like to do to make their pages stand out and for all you to see who they are and get a feel for what they are like. If you go to Benjamin's and Dalton's page you can see the interviews we did this week and see how they went. Jacey came to me(Olivia) this week and had a fantastic idea of asking both Benjamin and Dalton what they would each like on their page on this website and we are starting to get a little feedback from them and next week we will have more pictures and videos of what they ended up wanting. We are so excited for the NMS dance coming up in a couple weeks and we will be sure to post pictures of the event and see what we can come up with for the NVM page. Thanks again so much for the support and we will be blogging again soon.
~Olivia and Jacey Blog 2: Hello everyone for our second blog post we want to tell you about our No More Sidelines adventure to find out more please visit our Trip page. Thank you!
